     All is silent despite question asked of she, no response spilling from painted lips. In fact, there is no reaction at all to one’s question, simply staring that lasts for several seconds, perhaps even minutes. Gaze of gold continues to linger upon the visage of the other; surely, she would have already burned a hole into the individual’s chest if the woman possessed such capabilities. 

     Finally, reaction occurs in the form of dumbfounded realization, pure and utter embarrassment soon to follow in its wake. Pale features become dusted with red as skin flushes, eyes quickly adverting and fingertips pressing together like that of a child caught with hand in the cookie jar.

     Words are spoken with gentle tune before a cough is forced. Expression is schooled into a calm mask, singular digit tucking stray strands of brown behind ear. 

               ❝I did not mean to stare; that must seem quite rude of me. I was simply trying to place your attire, for it seems very familiar. But I would imagine it is but my mind playing a silly trick. Truly, I am sorry.❞
